Stacia and Robert work together on all photo sessions to create an unrushed, calming atmosphere in our Fulham Studio.

Stacia Smales Hill has been helping women through pregnancy, labour and childbirth since the early 1970's, and feels it is the most important job in the world. Stacia is a qualified NCT Affiliate Teacher, a yoga for pregnancy teacher, a recognised Doula UK Birth and Postnatal Doula and a Birthing From Within Mentor. She has been a successful business woman for many years, ran a management and marketing consultancy in London and has an eye for a great image.

Robert Hill has been a professional photographer for over 30 years.  His work has been seen in publications from Vogue and House and Garden to The Radio Times, and his clients have included film and tv companies, prime ministers, royalty, politicians, actors, and musicians.  He says his fun highlights of his career to date have been photographing Prince Charles at Highgrove, having Maggie Thatcher make him tea at 10 Downing Street and attempting to photograph Goldie’s puppies on BBC Blue Peter.

His purpose now is to create images that will be cherished by families and endure for generations to come.  He achieves his extraordinary photographs through the artful use of lighting combined with the extreme versatility of digital photography.  As with all the best photographers, even the most natural looking photographs use lights to bring out the drama of the scene or character of the people he is photographing.  Most sessions are held in his studio in his home, using simple black or white backgrounds, so the eye focuses on the faces and relationships of the people seen through his lens. 

Baby session

A photo shoot includes both Robert and Stacia’s unlimited time in the studio, which is located in Fulham in London.  Sessions are unrushed, calm affairs with plenty of time for everyone to get adjusted to the new environment.  We provide a private room for getting yourself ready, feeding, changing, or soothing your baby, and with toys for older children.  We will take all the time you need to ensure that we get the best photos of you and your family.  Sometimes things can go wrong, a child may be unwell or we may feel that we were not able to get the best out of someone on that day, in which case we will ask you for a second sitting at no extra charge.  The session fee also includes a private online gallery space to view the photos.
